    Fellowship Coordinator, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research & Dean of
    the Graduate School

    The Fellowship Coordinator serves as the Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean
    of the Graduate School's coordinator for the Boulder campus on issues relating
    to the administration of policies and rules affecting graduate students'
    financial fellowship support. This position administers and oversees Graduate
    School Fellowship rules and policies implementation; serves as the
    departmental/academic unit liaison for the evaluation of university fellowship
    policies, rules and regulations as they apply to graduate students; works
    closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Graduate Education/Associate
    Dean of the Graduate School; initiates and coordinates streamlining and change
    in policies and rules as needed; interprets and initiates changing federal,
    state (CCHE) and University policies for all graduate departments regarding
    fellowship funding allocations; coordinates Graduate School Fellowship
    Committee, Graduate Research and Creative Work Awards and Teaching Awards
    Programs; coordinates stewardship of campus constituents with CU Foundation
    personnel, as well as donors; coordinates development strategies for
    stewardships with the CU Foundation; coordinates establishment of high quality
    working relationships with the CU Foundation; Creates and develops new systems
    of partnerships with campus constituents (Graduate Program Assts., Graduate
    Program Directors, Departmental Chairs); Boulder Campus tuition remission
    contact representative; oversees graduate student appts., including auditing
    all appointments for reasonableness and accuracy and monitoring random audits
    of graduate student appointments to ensure that eligibility requirements for
    "satisfactory academic progress toward the degree"; primary HR contact for all
    Boulder Campus graduate student appts.; HRMS end user approver for graduate
    student appts., hand-drawn warrants and one-time pay requests; interprets and
    initiates changing federal, state (CCHE) and University policies for all
    graduate departments regarding fellowship funding allocations; authorizes
    travel grants to eligible graduate students; administers/maintains financial
    accounts for external fellowship funding from National Science Foundation,
    Department of Education, Howard Hughes Institute (approximately 45 students);
    maintains gift FOPP/CU Foundation accounts for the Vice Chancellor for Research
    & Dean of the Graduate School; reviews and approves exceptions when justified;
    coordinates oversight of the CRCW, IGP and EI programs which include Small
    Grant, Seed Grant, Grant-in-Aid, Faculty Fellowships, Junior Faculty and
    Distinguished Lecturer award programs and designs, determines and maintains
    reporting database to be used for historical tracking purposes. Minimum
    Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus three to five years of progressive
    financial/accounting experience; Excellent communication and verbal skills;
    Documented ability to handle complex, multiple and concurrent tasks; Must
    possess effective problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to anticipate
    executive needs for information and administrative support. Ability to
    provide and promote effective communication between the Office of the Vice
    Chancellor for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, CU Foundation,
    intercampus units, external constituents, including donors and Advanced skills
    in word-processing, spreadsheet, Microsoft Access, HRMS, PeopleSoft Financial,
    Data Warehouse and SIS systems. Salary: $43,000-$50,000. TO APPLY: apply
