    SUBJECT: 2006 Colorado Combined Campaign

Dear CU-Boulder Campus Faculty and Staff,

The 2006 Colorado Combined Campaign is nearing its end, with January 9th being
the final day you can turn in pledge forms for a full twelve months of payroll
deduction. If you have already pledged for this year, I sincerely thank you for
your support of Colorado's nonprofits. If you have not yet participated, you
still have a few days to do so. The University of Colorado is the largest donor
to this statewide campaign, and the Boulder campus leads the state in
leadership giving. Please help continue our tradition of support.

2006 did not bring with it the hugely devastating natural disasters that caught
our attention and increased our giving in 2005. Fortunately for all, it was a
quieter year. This does not mean that we should cease giving to the agencies
that provide a safety net in our state, enrich our cultural landscape, and
provide a voice for the voiceless.

The recent "Blizzard of 2006" showed once again how Colorado nonprofits are
there and ready to assist in times of need, as organizations like the American
Red Cross (#4005), the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless (#1612) and the Civil
Air Patrol (#1303) all played vital roles helping Coloradoans (and those stuck
in our airports) through the storm. Money given through the Colorado Combined
Campaign stays in the state, so through your giving you are truly helping
    "Create a Better Colorado."

Thank you again to all that have participated and continue to participate in
the campus CCC effort. Visit http://www.colorado.edu/ccc for more information,
or email erin.frazier@colorado.edu if you have any additional questions.

    Thank you,

    Erin Frazier
    CCC Coordinator
