Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Generator Instruction
Persons who generate or handle hazardous material/waste, or manage people who do, are required by federal, state, and local regulations and UCB policy to receive formal classroom or computer-based training as well as on-the-job instruction. Initial instruction and annual refresher training is required for all hazardous waste generators. To avoid safety and compliance problems, this needs to be done as soon as possible after beginning work in the lab and MUST take place within 6 months of beginning work with hazardous material/waste.
