Regulatory Compliance and Permits
The Environmental Compliance/Industrial Hygiene (ECIH) group at EH&S works to ensure CU Boulder is in compliance with a variety of state, local and federal regulations. We have developed good working relationships with these regulators and strive to promote environmental stewardship within the campus community. Some of the permits we oversee are City of Boulder waste water, State of Colorado storm water, and EPA hazardous waste.

Annual Compliance Audits
EH&S visits each campus lab and shop annually to ensure that they are in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to:
- hazardous waste
- training
- gas cylinder safety
- chemical hygiene
- PPE
- general lab safety
