Event and Food Service Approvals
CU- Boulder Environmental Health and Safety aids in the event approval process by signing off on portions of the Non-Academic Event Scheduling Permit. We are here to provide guidance and direction on issues such as temporary food service, outdoor events, temporary structures, and noise. Contact us for your event approvals after you meet with the Non-Academic Scheduling office and we will promptly review your application. We generally approve events within three business days through email correspondence.
Event Guidelines: -
Emergency Shower and Eyewash Testing
EH&S requires weekly flushing of eyewashes and drench hoses to eliminate contaminants and ensure proper function. Use the green tag to record the weekly testing of the equipment. Report problems with eyewashes and drench hoses to the building proctor as soon as possible. EH&S will test safety showers annually. -
Thermometer Exchange Program
Broken mercury thermometers are a continuing problem on campus. Mercury is difficult for lab personnel to clean up and can be toxic to the environment and people if left in your area.
To help reduce this risk, EH&S will provide new low toxicity solvent thermometers in exchange for any mercury thermometers that you may have. Please contact us at 303-492-6025 for an exchange.
