EBIO Spring Symposium 2008

"Fractal Worlds"

April 11, 2008
Abstract Deadline: April 4, 2008

EBIO Spring Symposium is a graduate student-run symposium that provides an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate and post doc students doing research in ecology to present their work and interact in a friendly and supportive peer environment. The event includes a keynote speaker and a full day of student oral presentations.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the day and we will close the event with a dinner to thank all of our presenters, promote student interaction and enjoy academic life with peers and faculty.

Guidelines for Presenters

Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes. We recommend a presentation length of 12-13 minutes, allowing for questions. The preferred format is Microsoft PowerPoint, however overhead or slide projectors are available upon request (please contact us at least a week prior to the symposium at ebiosymposium@colorado.edu)

The abstract submission deadline is Tuesday, April 4, 2008. It will be a first come, first serve policy so hurry up if you want to get in! Final schedule and program of activities will be determined and posted by April 4, 2008.

Submit your abstract as a Word file attachment to ebiosymposium@colorado.edu by April 1st. In your file please include your name, last name, institution, title of your talk and the abstract. Abstracts should be not longer than 250 words.

Submit an electronic copy of your PowerPoint presentation no later than April 9th, 2008 to: ebiosymposium@colorado.edu. However, in addition, bring an extra copy of your presentation with you to the symposium as a back-up, preferably burned on a CD to avoid problems with incompatible flash drives.
