Research Interests

Current research focuses on laboratory pedagogy: learning-based education through open inquiry in labs, and the influence of different lab instructional styles on learning outcomes, attitudes, recruitment and retention of students in science. Past research in foraging theory, plant defense investment, plant/herbivore/predatore interactions and population biology.
