Research Interests
I
am interested in the systematics and evolutionary diversification
of flowering plants. My research uses phylogenetic systematics
to address problems of evolutionary relationships, revise classifications,
and explore morphological diversity. I am particularly interested
in the roles of developmental evolution in morphological diversification.
My recent research on development and diversification has focused
on the roles of juvenilization, the origins of homoplasies (parallelisms
and reversals), and the course of evolutionary innovation.
