Research Interests
I am interested in how major innovations in plant body plan arose during evolution, with a focus on the earliest events in leaf evolution. Using lineage analysis, live imaging and molecular approaches I aim to identify the developmental basis of differences in body plan between living plants that exhibit patterns of growth seen in the earliest land plants.
