Advising

The Office of Student Services proves one-stop advising for most questions, whether you need help obtaining application materials, assistance during the application process, or a one-on-one conversation with an advisor.

All prospective licensure candidates (Undergraduate, Post-BA, MA+) may obtain electronic advising through EdAdvise (EdAdvise@Colorado.edu).  Enrolled licensure candidates may seek general course planning, scheduling, registration assistance, and licensure exam information through Dana Runge.  For career counseling, professional advice, course waiver questions, and questions about education courses, enrolled licensure candidates should see their faculty advisor.

Each semester, orientations for all new licensure candidates and advising nights for licensure candidates provide additional advising opportunities.

Graduate candidates are also welcome in the Office of Student Services, where a graduate administrative assistant, Kay Shepherd, can answer questions, or can refer you to the appropriate faculty member.  Graduate candidates may seek additional assistance from their faculty advisor, the chair of their program area, or the director of Graduate Studies, Dr. Kenneth Howe.

Graduate orientation is held in the fall only.  All newly admitted candidates are invited to attend.
