If you have taken coursework at another college, university, or campus of the University of Colorado, you will need to apply to CU-Boulder as a transfer student. You must first be admitted to another CU-Boulder College or school. You will then be able to apply to the Teacher Licensure programs in the School of Education for the following semester. Please contact us directly (303-492-6555) to set up an appointment with an Education Advisor. We will help you with understanding the required coursework, Teacher Licensure application requirements, and any other questions you may have in order to help you with the transition to CU-Boulder.
Colorado Community College Students
There are many pathways from a Colorado Community College to the Teacher Licensure programs at CU-Boulder. The “60+60 Program” (the first 60 hours are completed at a Colorado CC, and a Bachelor’s degree is completed at CU-Boulder with an additional 60 hours of credit) may or may not be the most efficient pathway for you. The teacher licensure program may require additional credits at CU Boulder beyond what is needed to complete a bachelor's degree. Please contact us directly (303-492-6555) to set up an appointment with an Education advisor. We will help you understand which courses to take at your Community College before you transfer to CU-Boulder.
