Admission Requirements

Minimum Requirements for Admission

All persons seeking admission to the program must meet the following minimum admission requirements. Admission to all graduate programs in the School of Education is competitive. Meeting minimal admission criteria does not guarantee admission.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2.75 undergraduate grade point average.
  • Minimum 3.0 post-baccalaureate GPA.
  • Experience in education settings is preferred.

In some areas of emphasis additional criteria are specified, and in exceptional circumstances, persons not meeting the above requirements may be admitted provisionally, or be required to present acceptable scores on the Miller Analogies Test or the Graduate Record Examination.
