Laura Moin is assistant professor of science education. Dr. Moin’s research explores issues related to the national shortage of math and science teachers: reasons, implications, and potential solutions to the problem. She also studies the impact of learning environments (real and virtual labs) on student learning accounting for students’ individual differences. Her teaching interests are in the areas of secondary science methods, the nature of science, and chemistry for prospective science teachers.

Dr. Moin is a member of several professional organizations such as the National Science Teachers Association, National Association of Research on Science Teaching, and the American Educational Research Association.
