Teaching

My teaching interests are in the area of K-8 mathematics education. I am primarily concerned with preparing aspiring teacher for the demands of the present day elementary and middle school mathematics classroom. I also enjoy working with practicing teachers, and direct a series of summer math courses that are intended to provide experienced teachers with innovative ideas about mathematics content and teaching strategies to enhance their existing practices and craft knowledge. I also teach various classes for doctoral students in an effort to create new leaders in the field of mathematics education.
