Office of Financial Aid

Learn more about aid from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Office of Financial Aid. The department’s website contains information on how to apply for financial aid, as well as scholarship resources.

Master’s Students:

All students are encouraged to apply for need-based financial aid. The funds available to the University are determined by the number of applicants. The Office of Financial Aid in conjunction with the Graduate School awards financial aid in the form of grants and work-study jobs on the basis of both need and merit criteria.

Due to limited funding sources, we cannot offer funding packages to Master’s students through the School of Education.

Doctoral Students:

Financial support is awarded on a competitive basis, as part of the admissions process. Most students who are admitted receive support in the form of funding packages that include tuition, an allowance for health insurance, and some combination of first-year fellowships and/or graduate assistantships.
