This program leads to a Colorado provisional license in Secondary (7-12) French, German, Japanese, Latin, Russian, or Spanish. Candidates must choose one area. To be eligible for licensure, candidates must successfully complete all academic and field experience requirements, pass a state-approved licensure exam, and complete student teaching.

We recommend that undergraduate students in the World Language program declare one of the following majors, as an efficient, content-centric pathway:

  • French
  • German
  • Japanese
  • Latin
  • Russian
  • Spanish

Students who do not declare one of the majors above may still enroll in the teacher education program. Contact an advisor to learn more.
