2009-2010 School of Education Faculty Position in Quantitative Research Methods and Policy Analysis

Faculty Position in Quantitative Research Methods and Policy Analysis

The School intends to hire at the Associate Professor level, with consideration given to hiring at the Professor level when appropriate. Scholars of color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications: This position is rostered in the Research and Evaluation Methodology program area.  Candidates for this position must have an earned doctorate in the specialized area and must have expertise in statistics and/or psychometrics.  Qualifications for this position include:
  • the ability to apply quantitative methods to the analysis of educational policy issues;
  • an active and high-profile research agenda;
  • a track record of obtaining, or the potential to obtain, external funding; and
  • a willingness to collaborate on large-scale research projects
Responsibilities: Candidates for the position must be willing to contribute to teaching and program development, conduct research, publish in significant refereed journals and seek outside funding. Specifically, candidates should be prepared to teach statistics and/or measurement courses at the masters and doctoral level and to mentor PhD students specializing in quantitative methods and policy analysis. Candidates must also be prepared to serve as a resource to faculty and advanced doctoral students who are conducting quantitative studies.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and scholarly record.
