School of Education 2014 Graduation

The School of Education's 2014 Graduation Recognition Ceremony celebrated 125 Teacher Licensure graduates, 21 CU-Boulder graduates earning an Education Minor, 111 Master's graduates, and 12 PhD graduates.

Dean Lorrie Shepard led the ceremony with Associate Dean for Teacher Education Jennifer Whitcomb and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies Michele Moses. Doris Candelarie, Principal of Alicia Sánchez International Elementary School in Layette and the 2014 Colorado National Distinguished Principal of the Year, offered the Commencement Address.

Several awards were presented:

  • Outstanding Teacher Education Graduate–"The Best Should Teach" Award: Ashleigh Branstetter
  • Outstanding Elementary Graduate: Whitney Johansson
  • Outstanding CU Teach Graduate: Christopher Stadmeyer
  • Outstanding Secondary Humanities Graduate: Shaun Hicks
  • Outstanding Master’s Graduate: Cara Arena
  • Outstanding Doctoral Graduate: Bethy Leonardi
