_What is the BUENO High School Equivalency Program (HEP)?
The BUENO Center’s High School Equivalency Program (HEP) is a federally funded program that provides migrant and seasonal farmworkers who have not earned the equivalency of a high school diploma an opportunity to earn a general education diploma (GED). The program is located at six sites: Brighton, Greeley, La Junta, Ft. Morgan, Longmont, and Alamosa, Colorado.
_What does HEP provide?

All sites offer students an array of services, including:

• GED Pre-testing services
• Classes in the five GED areas of reading, math, science, social studies
•Vocational and Career Placement
•Personal Counseling
•Vocational Skills Training



• Career Development
• Tutoring
• Academic Advising
• Placements in a Job, the military, or in a postsecondary institution of higher education
• Personal Counseling
_Who may apply to HEP?
To qualify for this program a person, or their children, must be16 years of age or older and must have worked in agriculturally related employment for a period of 75 days within the past 24 months. Persons who are eligible to participate in or have participated in a migrant education program under Chapter 11 or who have participated in a JTPA Section 402 program also qualify for services
