In its Second Annual 15-Second Vocabulary Video Contest, The New York Times recently featured the work of Professor Bridget Dalton in "developing vocabulary through multimodal expression." Professor Dalton uses a variety of technological approaches to enhance literacy instruction.

In the Literacy Beat post that is cited in the article, Professor Dalton shares her strategy for creating "VocabVid Stories" with students. VocabVids are short, live-action stories that enact chosen vocabulary words in a social context.
