The US Department of Education website is featuring School of Education teacher licensure students creating curriculum aligned with the new Colorado standards. The “District Sample Curriculum Project” was created in response to a stated need by teachers for a sample curriculum.

Thanks to alumnus Dr. Brian Sevier, who has led this effort as the Colorado Department of Education's (CDE) Standards Implementation Project Director, the CDE website now offers over 100 instructional and curricular materials that were created by pre-service and in-service teachers to facilitate the transition to the new standards for teachers across the state. The US Department of Education’s spotlight on this project will further allow this project to serve as a model and resource for other states and teachers.
