Adobe Acrobat is a package of programs from Adobe that allows one to create pdf files directly from word-processing software such as WORD. It includes the Reader and costs approximately $xx with the academic discount. Either check the bookstore or go to http://www.adobe.com/education/eligibility-guide.edu.html?showEduReq=no

 

Once you have Adobe Acrobat Reader downloaded to your machine, clicking the title of the document will open it on the Web in the Acrobat Reader. Then use "save as" under "file" to copy the document to one of your directories.
