Center for Education on Social Responsibility's 2nd Annual
CESR Stampede - A Week of Driving Values in Business
Conscious Capitalism Conference
The 2nd annual CESR Stampede - A Week of Driving Values in Business returns this winter, featuring CESR's 5th Annual Conscious Capitalism Conference, plus several other events. Watch for event and registration details in the near future.
This year's CESR Stampede offers an assortment of events reflecting CESR’s focus on values in business. Through class visits, a career networking event, a business ethics case competition, and a project showcase, attendees will explore values, network with like-minded professionals, and hear from a variety of dynamic speakers about making values-based decisions in business. The week culminates with the 5th annual Conscious Capitalism Conference, a CESR flagship event which brings together business students from regional universities as well as attendees from the business community and non-profit arena to learn how talented business leaders are approaching typical business problems with values-based solutions. CESR Stampede allows students, CU professors and staff, community members and professionals to come together to explore the notion that business and values are inseparable. Through awareness, discussion and debate, CESR Stampede creates an open dialogue focusing on this important idea. The week also gives students an opportunity to present their ideas and projects related to Corporate Social Responsibility, where professionals and community members are invited to offer critiques and real-world insight.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the 5th Annual Conscious Capitalism Conference, which will take place in Boulder on Friday, February 28th, 2014 from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. Participants will explore values-based solutions in a changing world with several leading experts, including James Autry, author of The Book of Hard Choices, and Patricia Aburdene, author of Megatrends 2010: The Rise of Conscious Capitalism.
