Join us for a private tour provided by one of Ramaley’s very own, Gaddy Bergman. Gaddy is a Ph.D. student in the CIRES department, working under Noah, Fierer. Gaddy does his field work at Rockie Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Commerce City, Colorado, under 10 miles outside of Denver. Designated in 1992 by the United States Congress, the land, now managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, holds more than 330 species of wildlife including deer, coyotes, white pelicans, owls, and American bison. Gaddy’s research concerns the genetics of these American bison, and he has kindly offered to give the EBIO Club a private tour of the Arsenal and describe his research and more!
