The Earth Analytics education initiative includes a professional graduate certificate, undergrad and grad courses in Earth Analytics, an internship program and online learning materials. Earth Lab provides a rich environment for student and professional development through innovative, interdisciplinary course and curriculum design.
The Analytics Hub is a dynamic team of computer scientists, statisticians, earth scientists, and aerospace engineers, that provides tools, training, and support for data processing, analysis, and visualization to the Earth Lab team and the broader scientific community.
Earth Lab will capitalize on the data deluge from space and other platforms to accelerate science; reduce environmental risk by using these data to better understand and predict Earth System change; and train a new generation of earth analytic scientists to address outstanding Earth Science questions.
On July 1, 2017, Earth Lab became a part of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science (CIRES).
