Japanese for Specific Purposes (JSP) Special Interest Group (SIG) |
The Japanese for Specific Purposes (JSP) SIG was established in 2007 to provide support to teachers of JSP by fostering a network among teachers of JSP and offering academic activities to share and learn about various issues relating to teaching JSP.
JSP can be broadly interpreted; it is a Japanese language course integrated with any specialized areas, such as business, science, politics, international relations, and so on.
The ATJ JSP SIG business meeting took place on Thursday, from 11:30-12:55pm at the ATJ 2008 Seminar.. Six people were present: Tomoko Takami (U of Penn), Ichiro Noguchi (U of Wisconsin) Yuka Kumagai (U of Southern California), Miki Murakami (Portland State U), Mami Harano (Portland State U), Sachiko Aoshima (American U).
The ATJ JSP SIG Newsletter quarterly notifies events and opportunities of interest. Notices appear under four headings:
1. JSP SIG Announcements
