Ritsumeikan APU Summer Gateway Program

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University will be offering a 2008 Summer APU Gateway Program for eight weeks in June and July. The program includes beginning and intermediate intensive Japanese classes, academic courses in English, exchange with APU buddies, and cultural activities, including an overnight field trip to Nagasaki and a weekend farm stay. This program will be offered during the university's spring semester so participating students will have the opportunity to interact with full-time APU students on campus. The program flier and application procedures can be downloaded at: www.apu.ac.jp/apuint/modules/toapu/index.php?id=6.

Second Language Methodologies for World Language Teachers

Join language teachers from across the United States for this ten-day, four-credit graduate course from June 22-July 2, 2008 at Concordia Language Villages, Bemidji, Minnesota. Learn about and discuss current practices and issues related to second language teaching and learning. Observe the strategies in action at one of the 15 Language Villages.
