At its September 1999 meeting, ATJ's Board of Directors voted to increase membership dues for all categories of members. The increase will go into effect in the year 2000. The increase, the first in nearly ten years, is made necessary by the rising costs of printing and mailing ATJ publications and of holding the annual ATJ Seminar, which is growing in size and scope each year. Membership includes two issues of the Journal and four issues of the Newsletter. For an extra $10, you can also join the National Council of Japanese Language Teachers (NCJLT).
