The Seventeenth Annual Meeting of the Southeastern Association of Teachers of Japanese (SEATJ) will be held at the College of Charleston, SC, on March 16-17, 2002. Jessica Haxhi, former president of NCJLT, will give the keynote speech on K-16 articulation and cooperation. Topics of presentations will include K-12 issues, technology, linguistics, pedagogy, culture, and literature. In addition to regular presentations, there will be a workshop sponsored by the Japan Forum on the use of its newly developed teaching materials.
