Binding mistake in some copies of Japanese Language and Literature Issue 42:1
A mistake has been noted in a small number of copies of Issue 42:1 of Japanese Language and Literature, in the article by Noriko Asato. In the defective copies, pages 79-94 are missing and have been replaced by duplicate copies of other pages from the issue. If you have received a defective copy, please notify the ATJ office at atj@colorado.edu, so that we can send you a replacement copy.

Japanese Language and Literature Issue 41:1 Replacement Copies
A few members have reported that their copies of Japanese Language and Literature Issue 41:1 (April 2007) had a group of pages in reverse order. In these copies, the order of pages 47 through 62 is reversed: the page after 46 is 63, then 62, and so on until page 47, which is followed by page 64. All the pages are there, but not in the correct order.
Only a small number of copies appear to be affected by this mistake in binding at the printing plant. If your copy is one of those that is misprinted, please let the office know (atj@colorado.edu), and we will send you a replacement copy of issue 41:1.
**PRINTING ERRORS IN JLL VOL. 40 NO. 1 (APRIL 2006)**
ATJ members will notice that the recently mailed issue of Japanese Language and Literature (the Journal of ATJ) contains a very large number of typographical errors. The cause has been traced to a problem with PDF files at the printing company.
A corrected version of JLL 40.1 will be sent to all subscribers as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are an ATJ member and would like to receive a correct version of a particular article or review as a PDF file, simply e-mail your request to the coordinating editor, Timothy J. Vance (vancet@email.arizona.edu).
Please note, however, that the article by R. Keller Kimbrough on pp. 1-36 contains illustrations that make it far too large to send as an attachment. Subscribers who request a corrected version of this article will receive a PDF file WITHOUT the illustrations.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience that this technical glitch has caused.
