Japan Map
This map, part of the extensive NTT site, has links to several hundred of the thousands of WWW servers in Japan, most of which are at universities, so that it doubles as a map of leading universities and links to their home pages.

Association of International Education, Japan
The Association for International Education, Japan site has information on all Japanese universities, links to their home pages, a general guide to study in Japan, and information on the Ministry of Education scholarships that AIEJ administers on behalf of the ministry.

International Study and Travel Center
This site from the University of Minnesota offers detailed information on study, work, and travel abroad. Searchable by geographic area and field of interest, it also lists a number of scholarships for study in Japan and other parts of Asia.

International Study Telecom Directory
A Web site where reference guide to study abroad programs at over 4000 schools worldwide may be ordered. The directory presents information on summer-, semester-, and year-long programs. One issue of the semi-annual directory can be purchased for $15 plus postage and handling. One-, two-, and three-year subscriptions can also be purchased.

JAFSA
The Japan Association for Foreign Student Affairs (JAFSA) was established in 1968 in an attempt to better understand the problems experienced by international students studying in Japan and to find appropriate methods of alleviating these difficulties. The organization has approximately 300 individual members and 100 organizational members. The site is sponsored by, and linked to, the Japan Web Guide ), an English-language guide to the Japanese web that has been listed as one of Yahoo's Cool Sites.

National Clearinghouse on Disablility & Exchange: Equal Opportunities in International Exchange
This clearinghouse was created to educate people with disabilities about opportunities for international educational exchange and to increase participation of people with disabilities in international exchange programs. The web site offers personalized information, referrals, and support for people with disabilities who may be interested in participating in international exchange, and a database of related information available on the Internet.

Study Abroad Asia
This site, part of the WWW Virtual Library, lists study abroad programs all over Asia including Japan.

Study Abroad Japan
This site, part of the larger Studyabroad.com site, lists and links to summer programs, language programs and others offered by some universities and by a number of organizations like Council on International Educational Exchange, CET Academic Programs, Friends World Program, and KCP Tokyo, which are not connected with a single academic institution.
