Membership in ATJ is on a calendar-year
basis and entitles you to: • receive the
journal Japanese Language and
Literature (two issues annually), the ATJ
Newsletter (four issues annually), and other publications including Occasional Papers; • gain access to the complete contents of back issues (35
volumes) of Japanese Language and
Literature through the password-protected JSTOR on-line digital archive;
• present
research at and attend the annual day-long ATJ Seminar; • nominate
students for induction into the Japanese National Honor Society-College
Chapter; • read and
post job opening announcements and other information on ATJ's web site; • receive
preferential consideration for funding to attend workshops and other
professional development opportunities; • participate in Special Interest Groups on professional
development, heritage language education, and other topics; • benefit from the Association’s ongoing efforts to promote
Japanese studies and enhance the quality of education in Japanese language,
