Screening A screening interview provides the opportunity for students with academic concerns to meet individually with a Disability Specialist. During a screening, the Disability Specialist gathers information about a student's learning process in order to help the student make decisions about whether to pursue further assessment for a disability. Screenings are provided at no cost to the student. After the screener is complete, recommendations are made (e.g., referral to campus and community resources, suggestions for improving academic effectiveness, or psychoeducational testing). All information is confidential. Students can schedule a screening by calling the DS office at 303-492-8671 (V/TTY) or by emailing us. To expedite setting up a screening appointment via email, please include times when you are available M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
