Student Leadership Opportunities

Disability Services offers students several ways to gain leadership experience, information, and knowledge. Here are two examples:

Outreach and Education Positions
Students have the opportunity to join us in the various presentations, orientations, conferences and other outreach programs we are asked to give throughout the year.

Advisory Positions
The DS staff welcomes students interested in joining advisory boards and committees on a variety of topics from assistive technology to disability awareness and diversity. If you are interested in participating in a focus group, contact us at 303-492-8671.

Student leadership is very important to us at Disability Services (DS). As part of our commitment to diversity, students are encouraged to explore leadership opportunities on campus and beyond. If you are interested in DS sponsored student leadership opportunities, leadership training through academic programs, classes, and certificates, leadership through student groups and student government, taking the initiative on issues of disability and diversity, or in getting involved with national and international disability leadership programs, talk with your disability specialist for further details.
