The Disability Services Assistive Technology Lab (AT Lab) assists students with conversions of printed books, syllabi, readings, and other materials to tape, electronic format, or Braille. The AT Lab is equipped with five computers containing a range of adaptations, including the following: computers with voice output software (JAWS, Window-Eyes), scanning and reading systems (OpenBook, Kurzweil 3000), a Braille printer, closed circuit TV (for enlarging hard copy), and a tactile printer (for creation of tactile graphics and maps).

Staff will assist in providing access to labs and classrooms on campus where access is needed by students with vision impairments and other disabilities. Staff also consult with students in the selection, training, and support of adaptive equipment, computers, and other devices. The AT Lab also loans equipment depending on need and availability.
