Overview: How DS is funded How gift funds are utilized Our Gift funds also support DS programs that we know our students need. One such program is the Career Program for Students with Disabilities (CPSD). CPSD pays stipends for student internships where they gain real-life work experience. Gift dollars support staff as well, keeping them on the cutting edge of disability issues through local and away workshops, speakers, and national conferences. Additionally, Disability Services hosts an annual conference on assistive technology in higher education that brings together one to two hundred national and international attendees from other colleges for a four day forum on technology and disabilities. Without the generous support of concerned individuals and families, the Disability Services department on this campus would indeed be “bare bones.” What makes our program stand out over and above other campus disability departments across the country are the people who believe in our mission at CU Boulder, and help us make it happen.
