University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-Boulder) is proud of its growing reputation of reasonable accommodation for all Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals. CU-Boulder provides curricular, co-curricular, and non-curricular services and accommodations to eligible Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. Accommodations and services received at CU-Boulder may be different than those previously received. Once student is confirmed at CU-Boulder, student is required to make an appointment with the DHHS Specialist within 4 weeks prior start of a semester to assess reasonable accommodations and to review DHHS policies. Reasonable accommodations cannot be implemented without an intake session and until the student's documentation is complete. Accommodations Accommodations for Deaf and hard of hearing students involve communication access through interpreting, captioning, notetaking, and assistive listening devices. Services The DHHS Specialist assist students in academic advising, determining appropriate accommodation, letters to professors designating reasonable accommodation, interactive skills, and conflict resolution related to deafness.
