Commencement
Information for Graduating Students
If you are graduating this semester, and are a student with
a physical disability, please contact the Office of Disability Services
at 303-492-8671 so that we may make timely arrangements for your access
needs at the commencement ceremony.

Information for Guests
Seating
Seating for the elderly and guests with physical disabilities will be
available at the top of sections 109 through 114. For guests with wheelchairs,
a special seating area will be available inside gates 1 and 6. Other family
members are welcome to sit with these guests. We strongly encourage family
and guests with special needs to arrive early. Also, please note:
you do not need reservations for disability seating.

Accessible Restrooms
There is an accessible unisex restroom located at Gate 7 of Folsom Field
and accessible restrooms are available on the west side of Balch Fieldhouse.

Parking
The majority of parking will be available in Lot 436 on Regent Drive.
Close-in parking and drop-off, for those who have difficulty walking,
will be along Colorado Avenue, south of the stadium. Check with parking
attendants on duty; they will direct you to the closest available space.
It is best to access the drop-off area well before the student procession
reaches the stadium. A disabled parking permit is not required.
Guests with wheelchairs may park in Lot 360.

Interpreting Services and Assistive Listening
Devices
Guests who are Deaf or hard of hearing may request a Sign Language
interpreter by calling the interpreting services coordinator at 303-492-4125
(V/TTY) at least 5 business days in advance of the ceremony. Seating arrangements
and the location of the interpreter will be confirmed at that time.
Assistive listening devices are also available by calling
303-492-4125 (V/TTY). This device can be retrieved at the platform stage
on the stadium field on the morning of the ceremony.
Other Events
Many schools and colleges within the university hold their own ceremonies and events to personally recognize their graduating students. Guests with disabilities who require accommodations (seating, interpreters, etc.) should contact the sponsoring department at least two weeks in advance. Additional information for these special events, including parking, can be obtained by calling the sponsoring department.
