Assistive Technology Satellite Stations

 

A number of Assistive Technology workstations are distributed around campus, at the locations listed below. If you have any questions or need help accessing or using any of these stations, contact Howard Kramer at 2-8672 or email at hkramer@colorado.edu.

 

NORLIN LIBRARY: Hours: M-Th: 8:00 AM – midnight

Research Area Low Vision Station: 2nd floor.  (located at Resolve station about 20 feet in front of the help desk)

  1. O/S: Windows Vista/PC
  2. Adaptive software: JAWS (screenreader), Magic (screen enlarger)
  3. Workstation: powered adjustable height station
  4. Application Software: Firefox & I.E. only (Chinook Catalogue Access)
  5. Audio Output: requires standard audio headset
  6. Printing: any pay-for-print station in Research Area

Circulation Adaptive Station: 1st floor (Southeast side of room)

Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) – 2nd floor (located at west part of room in Research Floor Carrel)

  1. Notes: this station enlargers hard copy material onto a TV screen

Adjustable Height Tables – (located in Research area and at other locations throughout Norlin)
