CU-Boulder’s Digital Humanities Initiative kicks off the fall semester with a pre-conference seminar at COLTT 2009 (Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology conference).
This seminar brings together faculty and staff interested in learning more about digital humanities projects and centers around the country. Here's the schedule:
- 8:45-9:00: Caffeinate & Feed
- 9:00-9:45: Mark Winokur and Steve Bailey give an overview of digital humanities and DHI@CU
- 10:00-12:00: Faculty presentations about projects, centers, resources associated with digital humanities
- 12:00-12:45: Eat and converse
- 12:45-2:00: Critical dialogue about digital humanities: Is digital humanities really different from "print" humanities or "cave painting" humanities? What does it mean for the academy, for humanities, for researchers?
- 2:00-2:45: Deborah Keyek-Franssen leads a next steps discussion
- 2:45-3:00: Final food Refreshments sponsored by Norlin Libraries
