Research Interests
Cold regions research focuses on permafrost dynamics, groundwater flow and transport, groundwater-surface water interaction, and numerical modeling. Much of my current work involves multidisciplinary approaches for integrating geophysics, remote sensing, and non-isothermal hydrologic modeling to evaluate the interaction of permafrost and surface/subsurface water routing at present and in response to climate change.
