Research Interests

Catchment hydrology, groundwater-surface water interactions, preferential flow, and carbon and nitrogen cycling, especially in the high-latitudes.  I am interested in investigating coupled hydrologic and biogeochemical systems to understand how physical processes such as runoff events, floods, and permafrost presence and thaw affect nutrient transformation and export, and the implications for ecosystems and society.
