Research Interests

Fate and transport of contaminants in surface and groundwaters. Role of colloids and organic matter in the facilitation of contaminant transport in saturated and unsaturated porous media. Transport of microbes in subsurface environments. Role of organic matter in the speciation of metals (especially mercury) and hydrophobic organic compounds. Sources and transport of metals in watersheds affected by acid mine drainage.
