Chuck Dietzen (better known as Dr. Chuck) is the founder and president of The Timmy Foundation. In 1996 and 1997, he traveled to India on orthopedic missions and had the chance to meet Mother Teresa. Inspired to make a deeper commitment to assisting medically-underserved children by these experiences, Dietzen began the Timmy Foundation in 1997. The Foundation organizes international service trips and collects and distributes appropriate medicines, medical equipment/supplies, and educational materials. It also provides funds to grow outreach and advocates for these initiatives and the people they serve.
Since its beginnings, the Foundation has served thousands of children, and the communities in which they live, in Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. While he receives no salary from the Foundation, Dietzen devotes countless hours to speaking engagements, meetings, service trips, and fundraisers for the Foundation.
He earned his bachelorís degree in agriculture from Purdue University and his medical degree from Indiana University. Dietzen is a pediatric rehabilitation specialist and currently practices at Crossroads Easter Seals and St. Frances Hospital in Indianapolis.
