Perpetually curious about people, Courtney Pulitzer’s fascination with the Internet is largely about the worldwide communication and experience possibilities. Her own company, Courtney Pulitzer Creations, focuses on offering insightful information in an engaging and intimate manner about the people and events in the Internet industry. Through a newsletter, The Cyber Scene, cocktail parties “Cocktails with Courtney”, other events, and an online TV program, Cyber Scene TV, the company strives to inform Internet industry professionals about each other and foster relationships among them.
Beginning her interactive career in 1994 developing web sites at advertising agencies Young & Rubicam and Saatchi & Saatchi, Pulitzer’s strong writing and marketing skills gained attention, and she began a social column in @NY, a regional online publication. The success of this column allowed Pulitzer to eventually branch off onto her own with her current offerings. Her work in the industry hasn’t been entirely unnoticed. She has been cited and featured in various media and programs, including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Red Herring, the New Yorker, The New York Times, The Industry Standard, Business 2.0, Forbes, Entrepreneur, ABCNews.com, Harper’s Bazaar, Mademoiselle, CNN, CNNfn, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee and many local publications worldwide. Pulitzer also contributes to Yahoo! Internet Life, the Iconocast newsletter and Hamptons Country. Recently she was named in USA Today’s Top 100 Geek List.
