Evelyn Resh is a practicing nurse-midwife, sexuality counselor, and author. Her first book, The Secret Lives of Teen Girls: What Your Mother Wouldn't Talk About but Your Daughter Needs to Know was published in 2009 and takes a distinctly sex-positive view of teenage girls and sex. Resh has been a contributing writer for Oprah.com and the Huffington Post and is the former director of sexuality programming and counseling for Canyon Ranch (Lenox, MA) and Miraval Resort (Tucson, AZ). Her second book, Women, Sex, Power and Pleasure: How a Pleasurable and Powerful Life Will Give You the Sex You Want, will be released in 2012.
Resh lives in rural western Massachusetts with her partner of 18 years. She laughs as often and as heartily as possible but never at anyone's expense--except maybe her own--and is a true believer in maintaining a positive outlook on life. Her presentation style is as pithy as it is humorous and is well received by just about everyone.
