A long time veteran of Washington policymaking, Michael Franc oversees the dissemination of The Heritage Foundationís research and policy recommendations to members of the U.S. House and Senate, their staffs, and top-ranking administration officials. His observations about developments on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch have been sought out by leading newspapers such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe, the Houston Chronicle, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. He frequently appears on cable news networks and other broadcast media. He also writes a weekly column on Congress for Human Events magazine.

Previously, Franc served as Director of Communications for former House Majority Leader Richard Armey of Texas and has served in the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the U.S. Department of Education, and in other positions on Capitol Hill.

A graduate of Yale University, Franc earned his JD from Georgetown University Law Center. He and his wife Emily live in Washington, D.C., with their four young children.
