G. Willow Wilson is an award-winning author and graphic novelist. Her work often focuses on Islam, politics, and life in the Middle East, where she lived for several years. Her comic book series Air was nominated for an Eisner Award, the comics industry's highest honor; and her memoir, The Butterfly Mosque, was named a Best Book of 2010 by The Seattle Times. Her articles have appeared in publications including The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly, and Vogue.


An avid pop culture and new media advocate, she is often found on Twitter and in various internet forums. Her forthcoming novel, Alif the Unseen, is due out in July 2012.
