Marie Csete M.D., Ph.D. is a physician and scientist, with a clinical specialty in liver transplantation and a basic science interest in the regulation of stem cells by the gases surrounding them. At Emory University, her lab trains both physicians and basic scientists to use stem cells as tools for discovering new therapies for common disease processes.


Csete is married to John Doyle, professor of control and dynamical dystems at Caltech and they share common interests in staying fit and exploring the big picture of biological organization.
