Associate professor of history at the University of Texas at Austin, Michael Stoff also directs its graduate program in history. He has taught at Yale University and Bard College, and has been honored many times for his teaching, most recently with the Silver Spurs Teaching Excellence Award.
Stoff has written and lectured widely about the history of twentieth century America. He is the author of Oil, War, and American Security: The Search for a National Policy on Foreign Oil, 1941-1947, co-authored Nation of Nations: A Narrative History of the American Republic and co-authored The American Nation. He is also co-editor of The Manhattan Project: A Documentary Introduction to the Atomic Age and of The Oxford New Narratives in American History.
